Kitchen Soot Cleanup in Elk Grove Village

This kitchen in Elk Grove suffered extensive soot damage after a grease fire mishap. SERVPRO was called in to assess the damage; our assessment found that not only was the kitchen affected, but soot could be found throughout the entire house. A plan was enacted to thoroughly clean each wall, ceiling, surface, and item that could have been affected by soot. This involved using chem sponges to draw out any hidden soot stuck between the pores of drywall, and wiping down each surface with a de-greasing chemical to ensure all traces of the grease fire are neutralized.  This process not only cleans the staining caused by soot damage, but also neutralizes any lingering soot odor, "Like it never even happened." In addition, each personal item and knickknack was wiped with a cleaning chemical designed to clean contents gently enough to not damage the material, but powerful enough to wipe away soot and neutralize odor.
