Removing Water-Damaged Hardwood Flooring in Palatine

SERVPRO was called in to assess the extent of water damage caused by a bathroom leak. After deeming the entirety of the wood flooring unsalvageable in the living room, work was begun to remove and dispose of the flooring. Contents were carefully shifted to ensure no damage would be inflicted, and almost the entirety of the wood flooring was removed within a day. Eventually, the bottom portion of the drywall will be removed and drying equipment will be placed to ensure the exposed structure to the house will properly dry and a normal level of humidity will be restored throughout the house. This is important to do in order to prevent mold growth before installing new drywall and flooring.
